What is A Little Help?

A Little Help is a Colorado nonprofit that connects neighbors to help seniors thrive. To that end, we equip neighbors of all ages to volunteer for direct services to empower the elders in our communities to live interdependently and with a high quality of life. Volunteers provide services including transportation, yard work, technology and handy help, companionship, and caregiver respite among others. As we’ve implemented our good neighbor model over the past ten years, we have honed our systems, have built our capacity, and have seen the gaps in service that our members and other area seniors find in their efforts to age well in Colorado. We're currently building our Elder Transportation Program, an innovative transportation solution to help older adults in Chaffee, Fremont, Larimer, Delta, Jefferson, and Denver Counties with mobility to access direct medical care, medical-related appointments, and other resources and services that promote health and well-being, including trips for educational and social engagement and fresh, healthy food.

Meet the Bands!

Extra Gold

Since forming in 2017 as the house band for Denver's only monthly country music showcase, Extra Gold have crafted a country music cocktail that is equal parts Golden-Era Country Revival, Folk, and Rock & Roll. With the addition of upright bass in the rhythm section combined with pedal steel and fiddle, the band plays their cards. They waltz through tender three-part harmony ballads before inciting two-steppin’, beer-slingin’ dance parties that have placed them in venues with modern-day honky-tonk heroes like Whitey Morgan and Jesse Dayton, as well as future household names like Paul Cauthen and Zephaniah Ohora. With a debut EP soon to be released and a full catalog of originals on the table, the tempo continues to pick up for Extra Gold in 2018.

Roundhouse Assembly

Comprised of long-time Salida musicians Chris Nasca, guitar; Bruce Hayes, guitar/mandolin; George Mossman, drums, and Aaron Robbins, bass - Roundhouse Assembly in one of the hardest working bands in southern Colorado, playing up to 60 gigs a year. This jam-groove band is influenced by classic American jam greats- The Grateful Dead, Neil Young, and The Band, but can hit everything from bluegrass to funk. Round House Assembly is always a delight!
