Registration is closed for this event

Our October Little Talk will be a look at how animal companionship is beneficial at all ages and stages of life.

I am sure you read many headlines during the pandemic similar to this one from the Washington Post, 'Dog adoptions and sales soar during the pandemic'. We wanted to dive into this a bit more and talk about the benefits of animal companionship and all the wonderful things various organizations are doing to help our beloved furry friends.

We have a fantastic lineup of speakers...

  • Kate Elisha, Associate Adoptions Director, PawsCo--PawsCo is an animal welfare organization based in Denver.  Kate is excited to talk about PawsCo and what they've seen over the past year and the amazing affect pets can have on us and vice versa. And, how they hope to see working more with A Little Help and our older adult population.
  • Dr. Taylor Chastain Griffin, National Director of Animal-Assisted Interventions Advancement, Pet Partners---Taylor will discuss the mutually beneficial relationship between human and animal and how it improves the physical, social, and emotional aspects of our lives.  Pet Partners is the national leader in demonstrating and promoting the health and wellness benefits of animal-assisted therapy, activities, and education.
  • Eileen Lambert, Colorado Pet Pantry --- Learn how this great organization is helping folks in neighborhoods around Colorado have the resources to consistently feed their pets to keep them out of shelters.

Join Us At 12 Noon On Wednesday, October 13th. This is a free event. Register today to receive the zoom and call-in information!
