We are excited you are thinking about joining us for our Service Saturday! It can be difficult to find time to volunteer sometimes, A Little Help Service Saturdays! provide the chance for busy folks to lend a helping hand to their neighbors. 

Service Saturday! in Chaffee County are twice-yearly events providing volunteer assistance for seniors with various home maintenance jobs, cleaning, organizing, raking, and other household tasks. A Little Help Service Saturdays! are great opportunities to pitch in and help your neighbors.

We welcome volunteers from companies, churches, groups, families, and individuals.

What You'll Be Doing as a Volunteer...

As a volunteer for Service Saturday! you will provide A Little Help members with various home maintenance jobs, such as inspecting handrails, cleaning cupboards and refrigerators, de-cluttering closets, washing windows, dusting cobwebs, touching up paint, polishing furniture and floors, cleaning rugs, organizing paperwork, and just overall yard work.

Service Saturdays! run from 8 a.m. – noon and begin with coffee and donuts at the First Presbyterian Church upper parking lot. (7 Poncha Blvd, Salida)

After we've filled up on coffee and donuts we'll divide and conquer by splitting into groups of 6-10 individuals. Groups can and will have to carpool from the meeting location to the homes we will be helping.  NO children or teens should be dropped off without prior transportation arrangements. Most teams will be going to 1-2 homes and work should be completed by noon.

We would love it if you could bring any gardening tools, rakes, leaf blowers, or garbage bags and gloves, along with any other materials that you think may be helpful.

Saturday, June 16th - North Fork Valley, Paonia, CO (Apple Valley Park Pavilion)
