Join A Little Help in caring for our older adult neighbors by volunteering for A Little Help's Service Saturdays! 

Service Saturday! brings groups of volunteers together to complete seasonal yard and home chores for older adult households. Volunteers help with tasks around an older adult home such as planting, preparing gardens, raking leaves, pulling weeds, washing windows, moving yard furniture into place for the season, seasonal cleaning & organizing, gutter cleaning and more...all while enjoying meeting and spending time with an older adult neighbor.  Service Saturday! is an intergenerational event and volunteers include families, students and neighbors of all ages.

Volunteer Check-In and Event Kick-Off

Morning Meet/Volunteer Check-in has been cancelled. Instead, please refer to your email confirmation for your home assignment information and proceed directly to the home you picked on Saturday morning. Questions on your assignment? Email krista@alittlehelp.org or tanya@alittlehelp.org

Spend about 2-3 hours working at your designated home(s)

• Team Leaders and Solo Volunteers will select project homes in advance off the map provided by email a week before the event
  • Grab some team photos while you are out at your project home to share with A Little Help.
  • Beyond the Tasks - spend some time talking with the older adult household members while you are visiting their home. Get to know a new, interesting person and maybe break some of the isolation that some might be experiencing.

• Afternoon Service Saturday Celebration: has been rescheduled. We will not be meeting at the Tipsy Trout after our service day. Instead, please join us:

• June 30, 2022 4:00-6:00pm
• A Little Help Volunteer Happy Hour gathering
• Zane’s Tavern, 308 S Hunter St, Aspen
• Meet other volunteers, staff and swap stories. The first drink is on us!

Service Saturday! Spring 2022: Volunteers Gather your Team and Register

Registration Tips:

• Registering your group
  • Designate one person as your group's Team Leader and main contact
  • Gather your teammates and get their email & mobile phone number for each member of your team age 16 and older
  • Groups larger than six people: divide your volunteers and form smaller teams. Designate one Team Leader per team as main contact.
  • Team Leader will register the whole group on one registration form.
• Registering a solo volunteer
  • On the registration form, be sure to check that you are registering individually.
  • You will be the main contact for all information about Service Saturday! that A Little Help sends out.
