FUNDRAISERS

Partnerships and Sponsorships

Demographic trends show a continued, dramatic increase in the number of older Coloradans through the next several decades, as Colorado ages faster than the rest of the country. As people are choosing to age in their homes, 1 in 3 older adults experiences chronic isolation. According to the Family Caregiver Alliance, 42% of employed Americans have provided care for older family members in the last five years—which directly impacts employers as workers are forced to take time off or rearrange work schedules to accommodate elder care.

At A Little Help, we’re striving to combat this isolation among seniors, in part by working with local and state business and government leaders to create solutions. Our ability to serve Colorado’s aging adults is funded by your sponsorships and partnerships. Your generous support helps us spread our innovative model throughout Colorado, while helping you gain more recognition as a company that empowers grassroots nonprofits. You’ll be making a tax-deductible contribution that will help A Little Help continue to increase quality of life for seniors in need, right here in our community, and you'll benefit from the exposure to our community of over 2,500 neighbors.

A Little Breakfast was a success and we were proud to have so many companies and organizations in attendance.

On October 2nd, at our second annual A Little Breakfast, we launched and had a great deal of interest in  “A Little Community,” a program that connects local businesses and organizations with local older adults through conversation and service. Elizabeth Garner, State Demography Office, Department of Local Affairs started the morning with an extremely interesting and insightful look at Colorado and Denver as they stand today and what we we will see in our future, as our demographics continue to change. Our keynote speaker, Catherine Anderson, Senior Vice President, Policy and Strategy with United Healthcare did a marvelous job discussing Medicaid and Medicare programs and answered questions related to healthcare in the workplace.

Both of their Powerpoint presentations are available by email.  If you would like a copy, please contact Tanya Matthias at tanya@alittlehelp.org.

Thank you to our A Little Help Sponosrs.

A Little Soiree

Our 2019 Soireé was a huge success! Over 200 people attended to show their support for A Little Help's mission. Thank you to everyone who donated; you helped us gross over $90,000.00 to aid seniors throughout Colorado! The event was held at the Grid Shared Office Space on Broadway. Thank you to the Grid, Suerte, Total Wine, Appetites Catering and all of our silent auction donors for making this event fun and successful. We often talk about the services and experiences A Little Help volunteers and members share and enjoy; about the relationships that are built and the joy of giving and receiving basic needs like a ride, visit, or “just” a phone call. However, its easy to forget that we must also pay for things like office space, staffing, our proprietary Help Connect system, background checks, and the rakes and bags we use on Service Saturday! We are very proud to be able to say that the majority of our funding comes from individual donors – people like you, writing checks, make all this possible. We thank you, and we appreciate you.

LARIMER COUNTY'S FIRST FUNDRAISER WAS A HUGE SUCCESS

We had 100 people join A Little Help in Fort Collins on Friday, October 25 for A Little Fest! We celebrated a strong first year in Northern Colorado and raised over $10,000 in funds toward our continued growth in this region. A good time was had by all. Many thanks to our event sponsors and to everyone who contributed and came out for the fun. The silent auctions were spirited, the Heads-Tales event was rousing, and everyone enjoyed the games!

THANK YOU NORTHERN COLORADO. LET'S DO IT AGAIN NEXT YEAR!
