Leave a Legacy to A Little Help

Someone you know and love may be a beneficiary of the wonderful services of A Little Help. As a charitable organization, A Little Help sustains and thrives largely through the generosity of people like you. For that, we are truly grateful.

More than 80% of Americans contribute to a nonprofit at some time during their lifetimes.  But according to research conducted in 2000, only around eight percent of people choose to continue this support through a “planned gift” or charitable bequest.  By making a bequest or other planned gift to A Little Help you can continue to help us make an important difference in the community. What better way to thank an organization that has had an impact on your life or community than to make a contribution from your estate.

Here are the Top 10 Things You Can Do Today to Leave a Legacy:

  2. Name A Little Help as the beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy.
  3. Remember loved ones with a memorial gift to A Little Help.
  4. Prepare a will. Only 50% of those who pass away have one. Without a will, you lose control of the possessions and wealth you worked a lifetime to acquire.

  8. Consider using assets for your charitable gift. These can include, but are not limited to: stocks, bonds, CDs, real estate, vehicles, art, and jewelry. Such gifts may even provide a tax savings to you and your family.
  9. Purchase a new life insurance policy naming A Little Help as the beneficiary.
  10. Ask your financial advisor to include charitable giving as part of their counsel to other clients.
