Intergenerational Activities

Membership in A Little Help includes a variety of social and educational activities.

All members are encouraged to attend these community-building events. After all, getting out and getting involved is energizing! Below are examples of the activites in our various locations. Please contact us at if you are interested in starting a group in your neighborhood or would like to participate in any of these activities. 

Interest Groups

  • Book Groups - Book groups are open to volunteers, members, and those not yet formally part of A Little Help. Check your local newsletter calendar for details about books and meetings.
  • Other interests - Please let us know if you'd like to help host a group in your area, centered around interests/classes like yoga, dance, foreign language, knitting/crocheting, etc.

Picnics and Mixers

Picnics are held from the late spring through early fall. Check the calendar of events to find a picnic near you. Picnics may be held at picnic grounds or in homes.  

Holiday Party

Our annual Holiday Party provides an opportunity for everyone connected with A Little Help to gather and celebrate the season. Board members, staff, volunteers, members, families, and anyone interested in learning more about A Little Help are all invited. 

Tough Talks

Tough Talks feature speakers and panels on some of life's tough but important topics. A Little Help offers a different installment of the series every few months and strives to feature relevant and thought-provoking topics with interesting and knowledgeable speakers. If you have suggestions or would like to sponsor a Tough Talk, please contact our office.
